SYNOPSIS
On an ordinary night in Madrid, Manuel, a young man from a conservative upper-class background, unexpectedly runs into Lucía, his ex-girlfriend, outside a nightclub. That brief encounter reopens old wounds and sets off a chain of memories.Through intimate, everyday moments, The Language of the Unfaithful portrays the tension between social expectations and the contradictions we carry within.

BIO-FILMOGRAPHY
JAVI ESPÁRRAGO
Javi Espárrago (Granada, Spain, 2000) is a screenwriter and director, graduate in Documentary Filmmaking from ECAM. He has directed the short films The Outlines (2025), Now that we are all here (2022), El cielo del bosque (2020), and co-written Fragile as roses (2025). El cielo del bosque was selected at festivals such as Aguilar de Campoo and Mecal Pro, and screened at Cineteca Madrid. He has also worked as an actor in fiction and advertising, and in the assistant directing department in series like Élite and projects such as Olympo and We All Play. The Language of the Unfaithful is his sixth short film as director.
