SYNOPSIS
Through the story of the daily life of seven young bricklayers, we learn about their peculiar and harsh reality, where professional emancipation appears as an opportunity for transformation and vital catharsis.

BIO-FILMOGRAPHY
JOSÉ ALBERTO ANDRÉS LACASTA
PhD in Legal Sociology from the University of Zaragoza and Bachelor’s Degree in Labor Sciences. He holds a Master’s Degree in Screenwriting from the University of La Laguna and a Master’s in Production and Direction of Audiovisual Content from A3 Media and the International University of Valencia. He is also studying Conservation and Restoration of Cultural Heritage, specializing in Drawing, Painting, and Video at the Professional School of Fine Arts.
From the beginning, he has combined traditional graphic techniques with the continuous incorporation of images, audiovisual content, video installations, and audiovisual interventions, with which he has held numerous exhibitions.
He has developed a large part of his career in the audiovisual sector, working in production, executive production, direction, screenwriting, and as an assistant director, as well as in the design of theatrical and dance show sets. He has worked on numerous short films, documentaries, and feature films, as well as on educational videos and videos for theater and dance performances.
In 2002, he co-founded the collective Les Sardines with Nacho Rodríguez. In 2013, he founded the production company Factory du Cardelin, which in 2020, with the addition of new partners and producers, became Du Cardelin Studio S.L., based in Huesca.
He is a member of the Spanish Academy of Cinematic Arts and Sciences (specializing in screenwriting), a member of the Aragonese Film Academy, an associate professor at the University of Zaragoza, a board member of the Audiovisual Cluster of Aragon, and Head of Training at FLC.
